Moises’ AI stem separation technology extracts Whitney Houston’s vocals from original recordings, enabling live orchestral performances across a seven-city tour
Whitney Houston’s voice moved generations, and through a collaboration between The Estate of Whitney E. Houston, Primary Wave Music, and Park Avenue Artists, it has now returned to the stage. The Voice of Whitney: A Symphonic Celebration, which debuted in August 2024, brings Houston’s legendary vocals to concert halls across US cities. The concert transports fans into Houston’s musical world, as live orchestras perform alongside Houston’s vocals and rare footage. Audiences experience the power of Houston’s voice in a live setting, with a breathtaking fusion of technology and artistry that celebrates her enduring legacy.
To bring this unique performance to life, The Estate of Whitney E. Houston and its creative partner, Park Avenue Artists, needed isolated vocals from Houston’s songs. However, many of her key original multitrack recordings are no longer available, presenting a significant technical obstacle for the project.
To overcome this challenge, they turned to Moises, the AI-powered music platform with stem separation technology that isolates individual instruments and vocals from recordings. Using Moises’ advanced algorithms, Park Avenue Artists successfully extracted Houston’s vocals from her songs, producing near-studio quality audio that enabled the creative team to fulfill their vision while honoring her legacy.
“This project demanded exceptionally high-caliber stem separation, something Moises leads the industry in achieving,” says Moises CEO Geraldo Ramos. “We had to isolate Whitney’s vocals from fully mixed recordings without compromising the emotional power of her performance. A concert like this simply wouldn’t have been possible five years ago, before stem separation technology reached the precision and fidelity we’re now able to deliver.”
“We knew this had to be done right,” says Pat Houston, Executor of The Estate of Whitney E. Houston. “Moises and our partner Park Avenue Artists elevated the idea with the heart, care, and creative excellence that Whitney always embodied. The result is something truly special: a gift for longtime fans and a powerful introduction for a new generation discovering her voice.”
“This project demonstrates how legacy artists and their estates can create meaningful experiences for music lovers through the thoughtful use of AI technology,” says Ross Michaels, co-president of Park Avenue Artists. The Voice of Whitney is the first of several planned collaborations that will use AI to illuminate new dimensions of an artist’s work. It’s a powerful example of how AI can honor artists’ legacies while enriching the audience experience in beautiful and respectful ways.”
Music AI, the company behind Moises, will continue working with Park Avenue Artists on future projects, providing access to advanced audio models beyond those available in the consumer Moises app. These collaborations aim to help other legacy artist estates create respectful, AI-powered musical experiences.
The Voice of Whitney on Tour
The seven-city tour will feature full symphony orchestras performing Houston’s greatest hits alongside her isolated vocals and rare archival footage. Each performance promises an intimate yet grand celebration of Houston’s artistry, bringing her legendary voice back to concert halls in a completely new format that uniquely honors her legacy.

Moises Launches AI Studio: New Platform Generates Instrumentals That Adapt to Your Music
Browser-based AI tool collaborates with musicians to make professional-quality music creation faster and more accessible
SALT LAKE CITY — August 20, 2025 — Moises, the AI music platform used by 65 million musicians worldwide and named Apple’s 2024 iPad App of the Year, today announced AI Studio, its AI-native, browser-based audio editor with built-in generative capabilities. While other AI music production platforms generate complete, unchangeable songs from simple prompts, AI Studio takes a different approach: it creates individual instrumental parts (stems), such as a bassline or drum track, that automatically match the sound and style of a user’s recording. This “context-aware” design puts artists in control, enabling them to add, replace, or modify instruments and shape every detail of their music exactly as they envision.
Why It’s Different
Acting like a responsive bandmate, AI Studio listens to your music and follows your creative cues. It can take something as simple as a piano chord progression or guitar riff, and generate basslines, drum parts, or other instruments that blend naturally with your recording’s sound, timing, harmony, and style. This lets musicians quickly experiment with ideas and arrangements, resulting in a stems-first approach to AI music generation.
Unlike platforms trained on complete songs, AI Studio’s models are trained on separate, high-quality recordings of individual instruments. This allows for precise control over each part, so musicians can generate, edit, and layer instruments with the same flexibility as if they were working with live studio musicians.
“We’re introducing a fundamentally different approach to AI in music creation,” said Geraldo Ramos, CEO and co-founder of Moises. “AI Studio was built for collaboration; it’s like having a skilled bandmate who instantly understands your musical vision and responds with the perfect bassline, guitar riff, or drum performance.”
Built for Creative Flow
AI Studio removes traditional barriers to professional music production by running entirely in a web browser, requiring no software downloads or expensive equipment. It combines multiple advanced tools into one accessible platform, including:
AI Stem Generation: Context-aware creation of individual instrument parts that adapt to existing recordings
AI Stem Separation: Industry-leading isolation of vocals and instruments from mixed audio
AI Voice Conversion: 50+ studio-quality AI voices for vocal transformation
AI Auto-Mix & Mastering: Intelligent audio processing that delivers professional results instantly
In-browser Audio Editing: Full editing capabilities without complex DAW workflows
Every stem can be edited, with AI that adapts to the speed, energy changes, and melody of the music to support a truly collaborative workflow. Musicians can choose from genre-based presets, adjust the natural feel of each part, and automatically fill in missing sections and transitions with a single click. Whether remixing, making a demo, or building a song from scratch, AI Studio helps creators go from idea to finished track faster.
Redefining Music Production
Generative AI is transforming music, and Moises believes the future belongs to tools that keep musicians in control. AI Studio expands what’s possible without removing the human from the creative process. The platform is designed for musicians, producers, remixers, and content creators who want to turn rough ideas into polished tracks quickly. By eliminating the need for expensive studio equipment and complicated software, AI Studio makes professional-quality music production accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
"Musicians constantly capture ideas, like melodies, riffs, or beats, but often lack the technical skills or expensive tools to fully realize them," explained Ramos. "AI Studio changes that completely. You bring the foundation, and our AI builds upon it with fresh instrumental parts that adapt to your style, keeping you in creative flow without the complexity of traditional music production."
Proven Technological Foundation
AI Studio is the culmination of years of innovation in AI audio, building on Moises’ leadership in stem separation, beat detection, chord detection, and voice conversion. Moises’ musician-first approach has earned recognition, including Apple’s iPad App of the Year, Google Play’s Users’ Choice Award, and a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies.
Moises is collaborating with leading providers like Tracklib, SourceAudio, and Soundstripe, along with independent labels, artists, and our own internal production teams, to build a diverse foundation of high-quality training data. All content used in our models is fully licensed and copyright-cleared, ensuring that every output is approved and ready to use in user projects.
“This is the biggest step yet in our mission to empower creative potential,” said Ramos. “We’re not just launching a product, we’re creating a way for AI to amplify human creativity.”
Pricing and Availability
AI Studio is available now to all Moises users across the Free, Premium, and Pro tiers. Every plan includes a monthly allotment of generative credits, with the option to purchase additional credits once the limit is reached. Pro subscribers also gain exclusive access to advanced generation capabilities for greater creative flexibility.

SALT LAKE CITY (July 1, 2025): Moises, the AI-powered music creation platform with 60 million users worldwide, is announcing its sponsorship of NPR’s Tiny Desk series in 2025. By backing the iconic Tiny Desk series and its focus on showcasing talented musicians in their most natural element, Moises is continuing its mission to foster musical expression in all its forms.
When the first musicians gathered around a desk in NPR’s DC headquarters to perform a stripped-down set in 2008, no one could have guessed that Tiny Desk would set the tone for an era. Known for its open-ended curation and refreshingly authentic performances, the series has welcomed artists of every genre, at all stages of their careers, to share a new side of themselves with the series’ millions of listeners.
Like Tiny Desk, Moises was created to welcome musicians of all styles, anyone eager to improve, transform, or explore their music in new ways. “Many of the key founders of Moises are musicians, which is why we feel such kinship with Tiny Desk and the community of artists and music lovers it serves. This sponsorship is about supporting musicians at every stage of their journey,” said Geraldo Ramos, CEO and co-founder of Moises. “Whether you're performing at Tiny Desk or your first open mic, Moises gives you the flexibility and focus you need to refine your sound.”
Many past Tiny Desk performers are already part of the Moises community. Artists such as Mohini Dey, The Pocket Queen, and Filipe Coimbra use Moises to practice, prep, and push their creativity—showcasing how AI can help musicians find and refine their signature sound. As Moises continues building ethical AI tools for the next generation of artists, its Tiny Desk sponsorship reflects a simple truth: the best technology exists to serve the music and the people who make it.
“We are excited to bring on Moises as a 2025 sponsor of Tiny Desk Concerts and NPR Music,” said Gina Garrubbo, President & CEO of National Public Media, the sponsorship subsidiary of NPR. “The NPR audience has a deep-rooted passion for music and a genuine appreciation for the sponsors that help them connect more closely with the creative process. Moises enhances that connection, making them a natural fit for this iconic video series.”

Moises Earns Dual Honors: Named Apple’s iPad App of the Year and Design Awards Finalist
Recognized by Apple for its musician-first design, Moises now serves 60 million users in 190 countries and processes daily audio equivalent of nearly five years of continuous music
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 3, 2025 — Moises, the AI-powered music platform, was today named an Apple Design Award finalist in the Innovation category. The honor comes six months after Apple named Moises the 2024 iPad App of the Year, making it one of a handful of apps to earn both an Apple Design Award finalist nod and an App Store Award win within the same 12-month span.
Moises simplifies the task of practicing and producing music with its AI platform that separates vocals and instruments from any song with unprecedented clarity. Beyond stem separation, the app offers tempo and pitch shifting, a smart metronome, chord detection, and multilingual lyric transcription—all wrapped in an intuitive, user-friendly interface. This thoughtful design brings professional-grade audio tools directly to anyone with a smartphone.
The company has rapidly grown into the world’s leading AI music platform, leveraging 45 proprietary AI models to process 2.5 million minutes of audio every day—the equivalent of nearly five years of continuous music. Available in 33 languages, Moises serves a global community of 60 million musicians across 190 countries.
"Designing Moises meant removing friction between musicians and their creativity, turning complex AI-powered source separation into something as intuitive as moving a volume slider," said Jardson Almeida, Co-founder and Chief Design Officer at Moises. "With our AI-powered mixer, we've made sophisticated audio technology disappear into the background, letting musicians focus purely on their creativity."
Benchmarking found the platform's Signal-to-Distortion Ratio (SDR), the metric measuring audio quality, is over 15% higher than that of other AI music tools, providing Moises users with clearer audio separation and more distinct instrument isolation. In lyrics transcription, Moises demonstrates a notable advantage over its competitors by achieving a higher level of accuracy in its predictions. The in-house transcription models developed by Moises exhibit a reduction of approximately 28% in character errors compared to ElevenLabs.
"Our app empowers creators to achieve their fullest artistic expression with technology that serves their artistry rather than replacing it," says Co-founder and CEO Geraldo Ramos. "Apple's recognition of an AI tool that champions skill development and human performance over autonomous creation sends a powerful message about the value of responsible and artist-centric AI development."
